Andalucia is the southernmost autonomous community in Spain, and it's absolutely amazing! Andalucia is the most populous and second-largest community in Spain, and it's easy to see why!

Andalucia is bordered by Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha to the north, Murcia and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar to the south (Gibraltar shares a small land border with Cádiz).

• Andalucia is a truly special place, with a rich culture, fascinating history and absolutely breathtaking landscapes. 

• This region is known as the birthplace of flamenco, and it's easy to see why! It's celebrated for its passionate music and dance. Andalucia's cities, like Seville, Granada and Córdoba, are absolutely stunning! They boast magnificent Moorish architecture, including the Alhambra and the Mezquita.

It was a really important place during the Islamic Golden Age, with Córdoba being a major hub of learning and culture.

You simply have to visit Benalmádena! It has so many amazing things to see and do, including the stunning marina, the Selwo Marina dolphinarium and the Cable Car.

You simply have to see the incredible Alhambra Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site! 

It's a stunning example of Moorish architecture with intricate tilework, beautiful gardens and breathtaking views of Granada. 

To make the most of your visit, I'd highly recommend booking tickets in advance and taking a guided tour to fully appreciate its rich history. 

With Tanya, we spent the entire day here. It was exhausting, but the beautiful ornaments and the guides are really great. There are souvenir shops, beer and tapas!

The White Villages of Andalucía, known as Pueblos Blancos, are a real treat for the senses! 

These charming and picturesque towns are scattered throughout the region and are characterised by their whitewashed houses, narrow winding streets, and stunning hilltop views.

This might be because there is no access to the sea, but it's a great option if you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in Andalucia. 

You can also travel to the other major cities by train or car, which is really handy! 

Benalmadena and Torremolinos are absolutely amazing places that have something unique for everyone!

Andalucia has a warm, Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot, dry summers.

The average temperature is around 18°C, and the region enjoys over 300 days of sunshine. January is coldest and August is hottest.

The climate varies across the region, from the desert of Tabernas to the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the marshes of Doñana National Park.

What to wear and bring:
