It is always a pleasure to speak about holidays, plan trips and our off days!

This year, I have created another comprehensive guide to public holidays in Spain for 2026, based entirely on the official labour calendar published by the Spanish government's Directorate General for Labour. It provides a clear, month-by-month overview of national and regional holidays, as well as the best ways to turn long weekends into mini-breaks.

Spain’s holiday count varies depending on where you live.
Based on the official Calendario Laboral 2026:

  • Maximum bank holidays in 2026: 14 daysCastilla-La Mancha & Navarra

From New Year’s Day to Christmas, and iconic regional celebrations like San Jorge, Corpus Christi, or the Día de Andalucía, everything is verified directly from the government source:

You’ll also find practical tips to maximise your bank holidays in 2026, so you can use your vacation days strategically and enjoy more long weekends, trips, or family time.
